Hello Family and Friends!!
I would first like to start off saying, sorry in advance if I am all over the place today! Last week was the 4th of July! So I hope everyone had a great holiday and stayed safe! Ryan and I; didn’t do much, we watched the Macy’s fireworks on TV, which happened to be a beautiful show. The waterfall technique was neat! It would be cool to see that show live, maybe one day.
In other news, I am 36 weeks as of yesterday. So I have less than a month to go!! I went to the doctors today, and everything seems to be great. Teagan is facing up though, which isn’t a concern; but could be a little more painful during birth. So I need to get this little one to turn around before then. Other than that, her heartbeat is on track, and she’s looking good. As for me, I am feeling better. About two weeks ago, I was in a lot of back pain and cramping. Which could be a sign of pre-labor, so I decided to call out sick on Friday to just rest and drink plenty of water. Later that day I was feeling better and then Saturday I felt normal again, which was nice. Although I have been having back pain/sciatica issues, I’ve been blessed this pregnancy. No real complaints, except maybe heartburn, which can be annoying, so I have been chewing on some gum. Also, no real waddle walk yet, except for maybe when I get up at night to go to the bathroom, haha. Luckily, I am now on maternity leave (finally), so lots of resting coming my way!
Ryan and I finally put the car seat in the car and got a little mirror to be able to see the little babe. I set up the changing table area on Saturday. I still have to wash her clothes and pick out her coming home outfit, but other than that, I think we are ready for her to come whenever she is ready. Oh yeah, I guess I still need to pack our hospital bag. So once I wash our clothes, I will be able to do that. What were some of your MUST HAVES for a hospital bag? Also, things that you packed that you did NOT use or the hospital provided for you?
Way off-topic, but last Friday, I binged watched Stranger Things 3 and it was excellent! I recommend it to anyone who needs a new show to watch! Speaking of new shows, anyone can recommend me a new show to watch to help pass the time. Or any recommendations on staying active/busy these last couple of week before the baby comes.
Now that I am on maternity leave, I hope to go back to every week postings. So I will be keeping everyone up to date as much as I can. I hope everyone has a good week, and don’t forget to use sunblock if you are going to be out in that sun!
Love you all!
Amanda, you are more beautiful each day. I love and miss you. Momma bear.
